Mom's 65th Birthday!

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen"

Mom's birthday was far more than we could ask for or imagine. I imagined a good birthday for her, but this was an amazing day. People showed so much love for Mom. It was full of joy, love, and bright colours. Even the weather was perfect, with a clear blue sky and warm temperatures.


The day began with a delivery of about three van loads of flowers.

And about 300 balloons!
    
And flowers being delivered (these aren't from Dad, but maybe he's pretending they are!)

Mom and Aunt Wilma, who is going to helping Mom and Dad out
over the next while. If you go visit, you'll likely see her! She's going to
be there lots of days and help them out in practical ways. 

Who is this? It couldn't be Mom's birthday without clowns! Tanya is wearing Mom's clown 
costume (which Dad snuck out of the house), and Robert is wearing Marianne's, from when 
she was a kid! She purolated it from Oshawa.
Of course, Mom is loving every minute of it!

Then the friends start arriving!
And then a surprise visitor - Mom's cousin Vena from Holland! 


The house quickly fills up with visitors (and a baby lamb, which I did not get a picture of).


We serve people cake and coffee.




Mary and Rue, who have walked with Mom through this journey.
I've been grateful many times that Mom has such great friends. 

Many people sent cards.

Special delivery today - from New Zealand! Kelsey and Morgan
drew pictures for Grandma's birthday, and they arrived today! 

Over 105 cards! We lost track after that!




Soup for lunch, made by Aunt Wendy. Mom's sisters stayed for the afternoon.

It was a wonderful day! Thank you to all who came and all who were with us in spirit,
all who sent flowers and cards and made this day so very special.
